New to running but not sure where to start? Want to learn new skills to help you improve your running? Find that you keep getting running injuries?

From strength and condition classes, speed sessions and long run groups, there’s something for everyone!


Exmouth and Exeter Speed improvers

Are you a 25-35 minute 5k runner? Comfortable with the distance but want to get faster? Then this is the course for you. Inclusive speed interval sessions to get the legs moving and the heart beating faster

  • Where: Exmouth seafront Or Exeter Quay

  • When:

    • Every Wednesday 6.30-7.15am in Exmouth OR

    • Every Thursday 7-7.45 on Exeter Quay

  • Cost: £48 per 8 week block (Or £7.50 per session)


Inspirational intervals

Up your running performance with intense and motivating track sessions. If you are a passionate runner looking for that extra boost then this is the session for you. whether you are a seasoned athlete or a beginner runner wanting to get faster these sessions are specifically designed to help you reach your next level

  • Where: Exeter arena, summer lane EX4 8NT

  • When: Thursdays 12.30-1.30pm

  • Cost: £7.50 a session

Supported long runs

RETURNING AGAIN IN JANUARY 2026

Ideal for anyone training for a spring race, suitable for 10k to ultra runners, beginners and experienced runners alike

Starting in Lympstone village hall, the sessions will be a timed, running along the cycle path. Returning to our base every 30 minutes to regroup, grab a drink, some fuel and an extra layer if needed. We then step out for another block of running. You choose your pace and how many blocks you run for. We prove a base, support through the run, guidance and a sense of community with a common goal.

  • Where: Starting in Lympstone then onto the cycle path

  • When: Selected Sundays Jan - April

  • Cost: £10


Steady run groups


Getting the miles in - COMING SOON WATCH THIS SPACE

Steady 40 minute road runs, for all speeds and abilities. We start together, run for 10 minutes at a speed your comfortable with on the day, before turning and running back to base, regrouping and repeating in the other direction. finishing back at our starting point for a stretch, cool down and possibly a drink if you have time to stay and chat

  • Where: Exmouth and surrounding areas

  • When: TBC

  • Cost: £7.50


Off road Runners - Beginners & intermediate Groups

Explore footpaths and off road routes around Woodbury and surrounding areas. Relaxed running groups aimed at building your confidence, meeting new people, and exploring different areas of Woodbury Common.

  • Where: Various places around Woodbury (exact meeting places to be shared each week)

  • When:

    • Wednesdays 7.45-8.30am - beginners

    • Friday 7.45-8.30 - intermediates

  • Cost: £6 per session or £20 a month (Direct Debit)


Strength and Conditioning for runners

Strength & conditioning classes for runners

Focusing on increasing strength in muscles specifically used in running, these sessions will help to reduce risk of injury, increase core stability, and develop your running form.

  • Where: Exmouth LED tennis centre,

  • When: Every Monday, 7-8pm

Woodbury Salterton fitness

Lunchtime fitness for those working from home, retired or stay at home parents. Babies and toddlers welcome. A combination of cardio and strength work, these sessions will help to support fat loss, muscle tone, increased cardiovascular fitness, and a stronger body and mind.

  • Where: Woodbury Salterton village hall

  • When: Tuesdays and Fridays 12-1pm

  • Cost: £5 per session if booked in advance or £6.50 on the day
